Adult Painting Classes
Come unwind each week as we dive deeper into our painting.
No experience is required to join the fun.
Adult painting classs are back, starting February 1st. Class is available to anyone over 18. Tuesday afternoons 3:30-5:30pm. $20 per session. I’ll accept cash or Venmo at the door. (or you can pay online with your card when you book below)
Class will primarily focus on acrylic painting.
Expect the environment to be low key and very casual. There is no commitment. Just come when you can. Each project we begin will likely be a 2-4 week process. We will generally paint on 11X14 stretched canvas. I will supply the canvases for no extra charge. My paints and brushes will also be available for you to use for an additional $5 for the session. I would however recommend you eventually bring your own supplies with you. Your personal brushes will serve you better than my classroom brushes, plus you will have the added benefit of being able to work on your painting at home as well.
In these classes I will paint right along with you, offering you guidance and support from start to finish. We will all be using the same reference photo (sometimes a photo sometimes another painting), where we can try to recreate the techniques used in the original and practice our color matching. Because this class will be held in the REACH charter school, there is no alcohol permitted in the building. You are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks if you’d like.
